the third VfB Kiefholz ROOKIE TOURNAMENT will happen on

 

Saturday 14.12.2024!

Check list

 

 

  • Show up on time (12:00 o’clock)
  • 10€ in cash (or have paypal ready) per person as entry fee
  • Prepare (traditional) home-made food
  • Bring your own cutlery/glass for the food (we won’t provide plastic bowls)
  • Complete badminton equipment
  • Ready to have FUN

-tournament mode

 

Activate "Desktop mode" on Smartphones if not displayed properly.

A match consists of two games (sets), team that reaches 15 points first wins. (*Attention: We will most likely play until 21 points!*) No additional points required. Game won: 1 point to the total score, loss is 0 points. That means after a match you can gain 2, 1 or 0 points. In case two or more teams have same amount of  games won, then the amount of points scored in the game matters for the next round (the small + or - number in the example is the diffrerence of points made in a match). You should only play once against the same opponent!


Example:
Round 1 (random order of playing):
T1 - T5 ; T2 - T4 ; T3 – T6 ; T7 – T8

Round 2 (played according to current rank from highest points to lowest):
T6 – T4 ; T8 – T1 ; T5 – T7; T2 - T3

Round 3 (same procedure like R2):
T8 – T6 ; T1 – T2; T7 – T4; T5 – T3

R4, R5, … accordingly

If tournament ends after Round 3 then we would have following standings (first to last place):
T6 – T2 – T7 – T8 – T4 – T1 – T3 – T5

We kindly ask all participants to confirm their attendance for the tournament. Please respond to this announcement or contact the organizing team to let us know if you will be able to join.
Additional Opportunity:
In case some of the listed players or teams are unable to participate, we will accept new teams as replacements. If you are interested in joining the tournament, please contact us to be added to the waiting list.

Tournament mode

 

 

Team tournament, only mixed doubles discipline (male+female)!  Swiss-system tournament, means no KO rounds and everybody got to play same amount of games (at least 5).

Contact Fadi or Darko to sign up your team for the third Rookie Cup. Only full teams (both player names) are accepted. In case you are missing a partner but you still want to play,

please contact Fadi or Darko.

No regular league players allowed, last tournaments winners (1st-3rd) are on low priority. Maximum number of teams is 20 (+ waiting list).

Before the tournament

 

 

Sharing home made food at internal tournaments is a VfB Kiefholz tradition and we don’t want to disappoint here! Please prepare or at least buy some food. Discovering meals from different cultures is tasty and fun at the same time.

 

 

At the tournament

 

 

- Please use only proper ONLY INDOOR SHOES inside the gym.

 

- We will prepare tables for your food. Please write a note with the ingredients for people with allergies or vegetarians and similar.

 

- Pay 10€ per person in cash or Paypal to the organizers (tournament fee).

 

- It’s OK to warm up a bit before your game but please don’t take too much time as we want to finish on time.

 

 

After the tournament

 

 

If you have some spare time please help us putting back the equipment and cleaning the gym. Thanks!
